Cycle for Survival to Stop Cancer

JK and CapRelo Cycle for Survival

JK Moving Services and our sister company CapRelo once again committed our support to Cycle for Survival, an indoor team cycling fundraising event to beat rare cancers. The fundraising effort supports research for pancreatic, brain, stomach, ovarian, and thyroid cancers; leukemia and lymphoma; all pediatric cancers; and many others. This is the 11th year for the event. Now Hiring! Pros and Cons of Starting a Career as a Truck Driver

When you think of high-paying jobs you probably think of the technology industry. That makes sense. Six of the top-10 richest people in America are technology moguls: Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, to name a few. Jobs like doctors, surgeons, and lawyers are also top-of-mind when it comes to high-paying careers. But those jobs all require years and years of higher education and a large investment in tuition. Beware of Shady Movers (Pt. 2) — How to Vet a Moving Company

This post was written by Chuck Kuhn, President and CEO, JK Moving Services. Recently, my family and I moved out of our home in preparation of moving into a new house. In a previous article, I discussed the various ways that my family and I could have better prepared for our move, and even cut the cost of the move by roughly 25 percent. In this article, I evaluate the moving process and see what can be done to make the move less stressful for both the movers and the customer. What I Would Change Using JK was great—the crew was friendly and helpful, never complaining and full of useful advice. The crew […]

JK’s President & CEO Critiques His Move (Part 1)

Recently, my family and I moved out of our home in preparation of moving into a new house. Naturally, I chose my own company to manage my family’s move. I started JK Moving Services more than 30 years ago and created a company that emphasized high-level training, professionalism, and efficiency. Moving is one of the most stressful situations humans face, so I wanted JK to be a trusted company that could minimize that stress. However, during my move I realized that a great moving company can only do so much ─ that is, customers can save time, hassles, and money […]
