The bravest sight in the world is to see a great man struggling against adversity.
– Lucius Annaeus Seneca, ancient Roman philosopher
With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of our colleague and friend, Ted Isaacson, Vice President and General Manager of our Commercial Moving Division, who passed away recently. It is a unique experience to lose a coworker, as many of us spend as much time with our colleagues as we do our immediate families.
Ted joined JK Moving Services in January 2011 to lead and grow our Commercial Services Division. Being a respected industry veteran, we were more than proud and excited for Ted to join our team and to learn from his expertise. Never one to disappoint, Ted led the organization through formidable accomplishments, including new service offerings for our customers, service awards and recognitions, and several industry honors.
To our JK family, Ted was more than the leader of our Commercial team. Beyond his work-related accomplishments, we’ll remember Ted as a friend, mentor, advisor, sympathetic ear, and a pillar of strength and courage. Ted valued and respected his team, cheering them on in their successes and reassuring them when things didn’t go quite as planned.
Ted worked diligently for the National Brain Tumor Society, participating in the annual Race for Hope event and raising funds for this worthy cause. Although Ted lived with brain cancer for 10 years, the adversity he faced with his disease never kept him from living the life he wanted, both professionally and personally.
Ted’s time at JK Moving Services was all too short and we feel a void without his reassuring presence. We join family and friends in expressing our sadness over the loss of our courageous friend and colleague, Ted Isaacson.
(Editor’s Note: For those wishing to remember Ted, his family has requested donations in Ted’s honor to the National Brain Tumor Society.)
