Q1. Tips on how a customer should choose their mover?

Movingpro Research! How long have they been in business. Any awards or accolades. Check if they have reviews

JKMoving Good point, movers should also be able to provide references

JKMoving Visit the movers facilities. Ask people who recently moved. Look at associations as well

Q2. When comparing estimates, what should the customer look for?

HolmanMoving If one estimate is significantly less than the others – it’s most likely a trap. Don’t go by price alone

JKMoving Look at how many men and trucks will be on your move. And how long the move will take

JKMoving If you receive a binding estimate, find out what you will be charged if the move logistics change

Q3. Any other important questions customer should ask their mover during busy season?

HolmanMoving It’s important to know about the claims process. Be sure you know how long you have to file a claim and how to do so

JKMoving Ask all potential movers about their hiring and training practices during the busy season. Should be same through the year

PremierTransfer Ask about employees: drug tested, background checked, etc; claim process
