Our College Interns: Meet Misheel Davaatseren

(Editor’s Note: Kyle Smith is an intern in our Marketing Department. Today, he shares perspective on participating in a summer college internship program. Stay tuned for more in this series.)

For the 40 million Americans that move annually, about 13 percent move their residences in the summer months. That equates to more than 5,000,000 people moving every summer! To support this productive time of year, JK Moving Services employs college interns every summer. We’d like to introduce you to some of our talented interns.

Please meet Misheel Davaatseren, one of our finance department interns. Misheel is originally from Mongolia, but calls Arlington home now. Misheel currently studies at George Mason University as she pursues an accounting degree. Misheel loves to travel, read, play tennis and is an avid soccer fan.

Since arriving at JK, Misheel has spoken highly of her mentors. “My supervisor is awesome and so are my co-workers; they’re always willing to help me. They’re so patient and will teach me anything step-by-step,” said Davaatseren.

Day-to-day activities, such as completing invoices, transactions and refunds, keep Misheel quite busy. “The real life work experience here is something you don’t get at school. In some of my classes, the information didn’t click with me, but doing the work hands-on helps make sense of what I learned in class,” said a smiling Davaatseren.

Misheel aspires to become a forensic accountant and help prevent fraud and embezzlement. She would also enjoy having a career where she is able to travel often! We’re excited to have Misheel Davaatseren as a member of Commercial Services accounting team!
