Regular readers of our blog know that JK has had a long dedication of being involved in our community. We take pride in helping others, whether through donating use of our trucks, or volunteering at charitable events, JK cares about our community and the customers we serve.
On Tuesday, July 26th, we’ll be helping out at the 88th Annual Picnic and Bazaar for Montgomery General Hospital, hosted by the MGH Women’s Board. This year, the event will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on the Old Hospital grounds at Route 108 and Prince Philip Drive in Olney, Maryland.
What can you expect to find at the Annual Picnic Bazaar? You can expect delicious picnic foods, entertainment throughout the day, and great shopping for a wide range of items like antiques, books, CDs/DVDs, jewelry, plants/garden produce, and baked goods. Even the Thrift Shop will be open for business!
While there are many great things to do at the Annual Picnic and Bazaar, the Women’s Board of Montgomery General Hospital needs your help to make this event happen. They are asking for volunteers to help run the event as well as donations of used books, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, videos, puzzles, antiques and baked goods. If you would like to help or want more information, please contact Dee Hawkins at 301-774-5229.
JK Moving will be at the event with one of our trucks to help load and unload the donated books. We’ve volunteered at this event in past years and are excited to help again this year. In fact, here are some photos:
We hope to see you there! And if you can’t make it, please make sure you stop by our Facebook page to see photos from the event.
