Imagine it is 98 degrees outside with 90% humidity and chance of severe storms in the afternoon. Now imagine being a mover with a 200 pound dresser on your back in this extreme heat! I’ve been watching our moving crews for over 20 years and I am still amazed on how hard they work in any type of weather and still keep a positive, professional attitude. I just want to send a shout out of gratitude to our crew members. They are a hardworking group that keeps the world moving. Keep up the good work!
The weather has been so hot lately that we are on track to have the hottest June ever in the Washington DC area. When moving items, we always want our moving teams to take the greatest care of your items as well as themselves. That means making sure that they are properly hydrated in this extreme heat. If the weather turns to rain then we are ready as well. Pad wraps keep your items dry as well as protected from nicks and scratches. Adhesive rolls make sure that the ramps up to the trucks don’t become treacherous.
If you are planning on heavy work this summer regardless of if it is moving furniture or exercising, make sure you drink plenty of fluids, take breaks when necessary and pay attention to your body signs. It is quite easy to become dehydrated or even suffer from heat related symptoms.
While we all love summer, we also love staying healthy and well.
